Above and Below Dive Centre: Yorkshire, Hull and Pontefract

Above and Below Pontefract, is our newest diver training facility based at The Blue Lagoon which is a purpose built 32 acre Open Water site for recreational divers boasting a massive 16 acres of spring fed water with excellent visibility. We have a number of classrooms with a dedicated 60 square metre multimedia presentation suite incorporating a 13 foot screen and surround sound for those more involved presentations.

With four full time instructors we can cater for guided dives or diving courses every day of the week. If you just want to find out about diving courses on offer or your next adventure you can be assured that someone will be on hand for a chat. Our own course director offers career chats every day of the week so if your looking to become a dive professional yourself book in for a chat and we can discuss your preferences in diving, and possibilities for future progression.

Our main car park has capacity for over 250 cars with direct access to the main buildings and waters edge, which with additional space for overflow parking, ensures that you won’t be disappointed. Our shop is best described as an Aladdin’s Cave with a huge choice of trinkets for divers to browse around. The dedicated suit room means that we have hundreds of wet, dry and semi-dry suits in stock at all times so you can be sure there’s one to fit you. We have demonstration items available to try before you buy and with direct access to our Open Water site you can purchase your equipment, have our service technicians set it up correctly for your needs, and dive it the same day!

We host a storage capacity of over 360,000 litres of air, constantly monitored from our state of the art L & W compressor, to ensure you only get the best air fills. Our Nitrox and Trimix panels have digital readouts for greater accuracy which are fed with Triple filtered air to 300bar with the capacity to fill ten cylinders at a time ensuring a quick turnaround.

The huge variety of equipment on show in the store is backed by our impressive stocks warehoused at Blue Lagoon. So if by chance your size isn’t in stock we can have it for you the very next day. If you are a new diver ask about our rental options or discounted equipment packages allowing you to start out without breaking the bank!
